Gen X to Gen Next: Sharing Knowledge

Join BMA members and soon-to-be-members for a fun evening meet-up at the Renaissance Downtown City Center hotel. Located in the historic Colorado National Bank building in downtown Denver, the gorgeous hotel lobby features sixteen original murals and several original bank vaults that add ambiance. Built in 1915 as a bank, the hotel opened in 2014.

Drinks and food will be on your own. Business cards are strongly recommended.

Lightning talks
This quarter’s meet-up will continue with the lightning talk* format – a short, organized information exchange session. Four to five people will be chosen to present a 5-minute lightning talk*. The theme for this meet-up's lightning talks is: Inter-Generational Mentoring.

We're looking for young professionals and seasoned veterans who are willing to share their knowledge with the group.  Lightning talk topics might include:

  • The best advice I ever got
  • What experienced employees do that make young professionals cringe (and vice versa)
  • What young professionals want to know from senior employees
  • What senior employees need to know from young professionals

If you’re interested in presenting a lightning talk around the theme of Inter-Generational Mentoring, please contact Resa Furey with your idea. Arrive no later than 6 pm to get in on the info exchange (and fun!).

What is a BMA Meet-Up?
A networking opportunity for business-to-business marketing professionals to meet and get to know others who work (or live) near them.

  • A smaller gathering so you have a chance to meet new folks
  • Low cost, casual timeframes - come when you want

*A lightning talk is a very short presentation lasting only a few minutes and designed to convey info and stimulate conversation! A lightning talk is not a sales pitch.
